BLAKE SHELTON TIES RECORD

Blake Shelton's debut single "Austin" has remained in the number one position on the Billboard Hot Singles & Tracks chart for five consecutive weeks.

This run ties the previous record -- set by Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992 with his debut single, "Achy Breaky Heart" from his CD, "Some Gave All." Cyrus went on to sell over 10 million copies of the album -- surely Shelton would like to continue down the same road.

"It's like everyday another dream is coming true," says Shelton. "I pray this is only the beginning and hope to experience even half this much success again in my career. I'm just glad the fans like what I'm doing."
