Blake Shelton has broken his own record as the country artist with the most consecutive No. 1 songs in monitored airplay history, now that his Gwen Sebastian duet “My Eyes” has become his 12th straight chart-topper. Amazingly, it reached the No. 1 spot after only 11 weeks.

“My Eyes,” the fifth single off Blake’s Grammy-nominated album Based on a True Story . . . , is his 17th overall No. 1 since the start of his career and first No. 1, “Austin.”

Blake first broke the record (previously held by Brad Paisley) earlier this year when “Doin’ What She Likes” became his 11th No. 1 single in a row.

This summer, Blake is currently in the midst of his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014.

The trek launched a week ago in Austin, and will hit high-profile stops throughout the summer including Wrigley Field in Chicago, Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The lineup also features The Band Perry, Dan + Shay and Neal McCoy.
