Blake Shelton Can’t Wait to Battle the Original Coaches on “The Voice”

“I think it’s going to create probably the most competitive season that we’ve seen,” Blake says.

The fifth season of NBC’s The Voice kicks off Monday night (Sept. 23), and Blake is pumped that the original coaches—Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera—are back.

“I think it’s going to create probably the most competitive season that we’ve seen on The Voice so far because the four of us—it really brings back those original rivalries that we had in the beginning,” Blake says.

But it’ll be a friendly rivalry, Blake adds.

“It’s a reminder of how lucky we were to accidentally somehow end up with four people who actually became instant friends and who argue and bicker like friends do, like family do, and we love like family.”

Not sure how much love the other judges will have for Blake—his team has won the last three seasons in a row.
