Blake Laughs Off Bad Review of RodeoHouston

“He hates me!” Blake tweets about reviewer. “Guess I’m not welcome back.”

Even country's biggest stars get bad reviews sometimes, but a reviewer skewered Blake Shelton after his show at RodeoHouston Friday night (March 15).

The reviewer, Chris Gray of the Houston Press, started out saying he wanted to like Blake, but “damned if [Blake] doesn't make it nearly impossible,” Gray wrote.

Uh-oh.

“Shelton might make a decent country singer if he didn’t look so pleased with himself, and if his music pushed the needle on the give-a-damn ometer even into the yellow once in a while.”

Yikes.

“I sensed trouble might be brewing right off the bat, with the lackadaisical manner in which Shelton delivered supposed party-anthem opener ‘All About Tonight.’ The singer delivered the lyrics of ‘feel-good pills’ and ‘dumbass buddies’ with not even enough energy to punch his way through a wet paper bag.”

Oh boy.

And it didn’t get any better after that.

One of Blake’s fans, after reading the review, posted on Twitter, “did u kick this guys dog or something? Ha.”

Blake’s response: “No doubt.. He hates me! Guess I’m not welcome back..”

We’re guessing he is.
