Blake Feels “Sick” After He Eliminates Teen
Country star has to get rid of pet contestant on The Voice
Blake Shelton felt protective of Texas teen singer RaeLynn from the jump.
He even went on an online tirade against a blogger who criticized RaeLynn's performance for Team Blake on the NBC show The Voice.
Still, when push came to shove right at the end of the show Tuesday night (April 17), Blake chose powerhouse Erin Willett over RaeLynn. That happened as credits rolled, so RaeLynn didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to fans on TV.
Afterward, Blake tweeted only: "I feel sick right now... [expletive]!!!!!!"
There were no such tweets from RaeLynn, who instead expressed healthy thanks.
"I just want to say thank y'all for everything! I love this show and @blakeshelton! He's done nothing but good for me and taught me so much!" she said.
Blake's wife, Miranda Lambert, was among several who tweeted messages of support for RaeLynn.
"I'm so excited to have a new Bad Ass girl in country music. @RaeLynnOfficial we need u!" Miranda said.
