Blake and Shakira Get Vocal on “The Voice”

An odd language barrier is popping up between coaches during taping of upcoming season of The Voice.

It's gotta be tough to be creating two seasons of The Voice at the same time.

And it's even tougher for Blake Shelton because he doesn't understand a new coach, Colombian pop star Shakira. And vice versa.

During a recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, rocker coach Adam Levine told Ellen that while The Voice is doing live shows for this season, the crew is also taping episodes for the next, with Shakira taking Christina Aguilera's spot.

One small problem: Blake and Shakira "don't understand each other's language," he told Ellen.

"And even though Blake is speaking English, surprisingly enough, he just kind of says, 'What are you talking about? What are you even sayin'? I don't even know,'" Adam said. "They don't even understand the accents they have. It's funny."
