Blake and Miranda Get High Marks for a Super Performance

Super Bowl pre-game performance of “America the Beautiful” gets beautiful feedback from media and other stars.

A simple, understated version of "America the Beautiful" brought Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton some beautiful comments from the media and from their fellow stars.

Miranda and Blake held hands and dove into the duet just before the Super Bowl, just before their friend Kelly Clarkson sang the national anthem.

Yahoo.com called the performance "stirring" and "stellar."

Popular Hollywood industry website Zap2It.com wrote, "The 'America the Beautiful' was absolutely gorgeous—perhaps the best version we've ever heard. Miranda and Blake's harmonies were beautiful."

And Michigan news website MLive.com wrote, "High marks for both Shelton and Lambert; who resisted the urge to overcompensate—instead delivering an 'America the Beautiful' that quite simply, was."

Billboard slapped the hashtag "#adorable" on Blake and Miranda when tweeting about their Super duet.

Dierks Bentley, Reba and Martina McBride also loved it.

"Nailed it. very cool," Dierks tweeted.

Miranda called the experience "so cool" and Blake tweeted that someone whipped a football by his head as Miranda walked onto the field.

"Then I heard 'Don't worry Blake I got your back'...Tom Brady!!!" Blake tweeted.
