Billy Ray and Miley Host CMT Music Awards

Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter Miley have been named to host the 2008 CMT Music Awards, Monday, April 14, at 8 p.m. ET, live from the Curb Event Center in Nashville, on CMT and CMT.com.

Billy Ray and Miley, best known as the teen star of the smash Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, will also perform a song together during the telecast. "Miley and I are so excited to be hosting the CMT Music Awards. We know it will be a fun–filled night with a lot of great music performances," said Billy Ray and Miley. The awards honor country's most outstanding videos and video performances and are voted on by fans. The finalists in all categories, except for Video of the Year, will be announced March 6. Video of the Year nominees will be announced at the beginning of the live telecast and fans can vote at CMT.com during the show to determine the night's big winner.
