Billy Dean: Leading Man

Billy nabs lead role in Kenny Rogers’ Christmas production.

Female fans nationwide have always thought that the handsome Billy Dean made the perfect leading man. Now, Billy's getting the chance to take on that role in this year's edition of Kenny Rogers' Christmas production, The Toy Shoppe.

Kenny recruited Billy, who has appeared on several of Kenny's Christmas tours, for the part in the Broadway-style extravaganza.

Billy will take on the role of Toy Shoppe owner Hank Longley, usually played by Kenny. The original music and story were written by Kenny and producer/director Kelly Jukermann. The Toy Shoppe centers around Hank and his store, where toys come magically to life and children gather to hear Hank tell stories.

"I'm over the top about getting to play Hank Longley in The Toy Shoppe," Billy said about the production. "This is normally Kenny's role so I've got some big shoes to fill. But I promise to give it my all and make Kenny proud."

The Toy Shoppe will run at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, Mo., starting Nov. 1 and continuing through Dec. 21.
