It’s no joke—comedian Bill Engvall will be showing off his dance moves on the new season of ABC’s fan-voted competition series Dancing With the Stars. The season kicks off with a two-hour season premiere, Monday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET.

Bill, of course, is best known to country fans as part of the successful Blue Collar Comedy concerts with fellow stand-up comics Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. Bill currently voices one of the characters on the new CMT animated show Bounty Hunters. His professional partner on Dancing With the Stars is dancer Emma Slater.

Other celebrities competing in the new season include sitcom actresses Valerie Harper (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) and Leah Remini (The King of Queens), former pro football star and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson and Glee star Amber Riley.

Country music and related stars have long fared well on DWTS, including Sara Evans, Billy Ray Cyrus and Chuck Wicks. In the show’s previous season, Kellie Pickler and partner Derek Hough took home the mirrorball trophy. For more information on the show, check out abc.com.

The Dancing With the Stars Season 17 cast was revealed on ABC's Good Morning America.
