Big Vinny’s Biggest Loser Blog: Week 11

The Makeover

Hey Y'all,

I can't believe I am finally here at makeover week on the ranch!

We started off this week with a challenge to put on all the weight we had lost so far on the ranch. For me that was 102 pounds. We had to put on different layers of weights and were able to take them off at different points on our walk.

To put that weigh back on was extremely eye opening. I couldn't believe this was what I had walked around in. One hundred and two pounds of weight that I was able to strip off in in one challenge summed up my entire journey on the ranch thus far.

Our makeovers weren't the only surprise this week. We were able to see the new Cirque Du Soleil show Iris. It was amazing to see what those people were able to do with their bodies.

Then it was time for our makeovers. Our hair was done by Ken Paves and our styling by Jeannie Mai. Ken Paves was a really cool guy. Aside from doing hair, he likes to restore old cars. What guy doesn't love that? Plus, Ken told me that I resemble Mark Wahlberg. I think I will take that compliment and run with it! Look out, Mark. When I am done here, I will gladly step in to fill your roles on the big screen!

One thing you don't realize when you are on the ranch is how dramatic your weight loss is. I had lost 102 pounds at this point, but because I looked at myself in a mirror every day it didn't seem that dramatic. But with a new haircut and nice new clothes, it all became real.

It did feel strange not having Ramon here with me this week. He is someone that I would love to share this experience with. I really wasn't ready for him to leave the ranch.

The most exciting part of this was revealing my makeover. I got to walk on a real Hollywood red carpet! Now, I've been on a red carpet or two in the country music world, but this was the big leagues.

I was really excited to see my girlfriend, Lori, before me. I can't imagine what it was like for her to see the transformation I had gone through. I was 100 pounds heavier when she saw me last. I love her so much and I couldn't be happier than when I was able to see her again.

We were all enjoying our makeovers so much, however, this is The Biggest Loser and someone had to go home at the end of the week. I know a lot of people thought I should have voted off Antone, and it may have been smart on a competitive level, but I couldn't. I felt like he had worked harder than Sunny this week, and when he works hard, he motivates me. So in the end, Sunny went home.

I lost another 10 pounds this week, making my total weight loss 112. I was the Biggest Loser of the week again, which is such a great feeling.

After all of this journey thus far, we have the marathon next week. I am excited to go home and take all my knowledge of the ranch with me.

I hope everyone tunes in next week. It is going to be a big week for all of us when we face the marathon in the desert!
