BEHIND THE SCENES AT CMT MUSIC AWARDS

Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins and Gretchen Wilson had some big news to share before the 2006 CMT Music Awards, Monday, April 10.

Carrie revealed that she’s been seeing a special young man for the past couple of months. He is a student at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., the same school that Carrie attended. “I have known him for about three years,” says Carrie. “He’s younger than I am. He’s really sweet.” Trace told Country Weekly that he is “just about finished” with his next album. “They are talking about an early September release date,” says Trace. “But nothing has been decided yet.” Gretchen is also busy, writing songs for her next album, which will likely be scheduled for 2007. “I’m not in the studio yet,” Gretchen told Country Weekly. “But I am writing a lot.”
