Reid and Neil Perry say they’re ready to be brothers-in-law. When their older sister, Kimberly Perry, announced her engagement to Toronto Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia earlier this week, The Band Perry bros were thrilled.

“We’re really excited about it. We’ve gotten to know him over the past year and a half and it’s really great to include him as part of the family,” Reid tells Country Weekly. “[J.P.’s] schedule complements ours, so when we’re on the road, he’s on the road doing his thing, and when we have time off, it’s all great to spend time together.”

Which The Band Perry and the MLB star have been doing in secret for some time. Neil says it wasn’t hard to keep their sis’s relationship under wraps, though he does admit to one slip-up.

“I tweeted a picture of me and [J.P.] at the CMAs a year and a half ago!” he says. “But I think overall we did pretty good.”

Later this month, the brothers are solidifying their bond with Kimberly’s fiancé by taking him on a hunting trip—and Reid warns that J.P. had better be careful. “It’s probably a good thing, the brothers-in-law Neil and I having a gun in our hands,” he jokes, “in case we need to just pass on a little friendly advice.”
