Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry all spent a day back in high school Monday (April 28) and none of them got detention.

In fact, The Band Perry got a huge welcome from the kids at Wilson Central High just outside Nashville, where more than 1,800 students and faculty packed the gym, The Tennessean reports.

The trio played an hour-long set as a prize for a nationwide safe-driving contest that the school won.

Kelly Clarkson was originally set to play the show, but bowed out after getting pregnant.

The students certainly didn’t seem to mind the artist change-up: They screamed and cheered throughout the show.
