Band Perry Make Surprise Visit to Its Hometown Elementary School
“It’s in honor of a dear friend of ours, Miss Lisa White, who passed away from cancer,” Kimberly says.

Some little kids screamed, others jumped up and down or cried or got real real shy.
All 596 kids at Doak Elementary School in East Tennessee were excited to see hometown heroes The Band Perry on Thursday (April 5).
Kimberly Perry and her brothers, Neil and Reid, went back to their school to congratulate students on raising $40,000 for the American Cancer Society.
It was doubly meaningful, as the sibling trio just lost a friend to cancer.
"It's in honor of a dear friend of ours, Miss Lisa White, who passed away from cancer," Kimberly told local TV reporters. "So it was really amazing just to honor her life today and to raise money for such an amazing organization."
The Band Perry stayed long enough to sign autographs and speak with each student.
