Ashton Shepherd Heads Home for Holidays
Rising star Ashton Shepherd is heading to Leroy, Ala., to spend the holidays with her family, and she’s preserving the memories on a new GAC special, Holidays at Home With Ashton Shepherd, premiering Sunday, Nov. 23, at 10 p.m. ET.

The special features Ashton and her mother-in-law preparing a homemade casserole for Thanksgiving dinner. Ashton and her family also perform a few tunes on the special. “During the holidays it’s always meant a lot just to get everybody together and be able to play music together,” says Ashton, currently climbing the charts with “Sounds So Good.” “There’s just something about it that’s real amazing.”
