Grand Ole Opry star Bill Anderson is now "whispering" to visitors at nine of Georgia’s rest-stop areas.

The newly-installed speakers at each rest area offer travelers and tourists a musical taste of the Peach State's own talent. In addition to “Whispering Bill,” who started his career in Commerce, Ga., the Allman Brothers, James Brown, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Trisha Yearwood and Brenda Lee are featured in the ongoing project. Bill was inducted as a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1985.
