Americana Week Kicks Off

The Americana Week Music Festival & Conference gets underway Wednesday, Sept. 16, in Nashville with a special evening of music at Music City club Mercy Lounge.

The show will salute the W.O. Smith/Nashville Community School, which makes quality music instruction available to children from low income families. Americana Week runs through Saturday, Sept. 19, and shows will be taking place at participating venues Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill, the Station Inn and the Basement. Scheduled performers during the week include such Americana favorites as Radney Foster, Sarah Siskind, Marty Stuart, Charlie Robison, Raul Malo, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and others.
