Americana Honors & Awards Show to Include Performers Marty Stuart, Sturgill Simpson and Many Others

The Americana Music Association has assembled an impressively diverse array of performers and presenters for the 13th annual Honors & Awards show, which is scheduled for Sept. 17 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

In addition to performances by Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Loretta Lynn, Flaco Jimenez, Taj Mahal and Jackson Browne, attendees will hear music from a who’s who of the roots world, including Jason Isbell, Jim Lauderdale (who also hosts the event), Sturgill Simpson, Rodney Crowell, Patty Griffin, Rosanne Cash, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Parker Millsap and many others. The all-star house band, led by Buddy Miller, will feature Don Was, The McCrary Sisters, Tim Lauer, Joachim Cooder and Ry Cooder.

Making presentations during the awards portion will be the Indigo Girls’ Amy Ray, Carlene Carter, Emmylou Harris, J.D. Souther, Rhett Miller, Todd Snider, Shovels & Rope and others.
