Americana Festival Kicks Off

The best in alternative country and Americana music will be showcased during the Americana Music Festival and Conference in Nashville, Oct. 31–Nov. 3.

The festival kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 31, with a salute to the recently deceased Porter Wagoner at the Tennessee State Museum at 5:30 p.m., featuring Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale, Buddy Miller and other stars. Artists from all over the country will also perform in nightly concerts at various clubs around Nashville. The highlight of the festival is the Americana Honors & Awards Show at the historic Ryman Auditorium, Nov.1, starring Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris and Joe Ely.
