Americana Awards Nominees Announced

The duo of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant and a former member of The Band, Levon Helm, are among the top nominees for the Americana Music Association Honors and Awards, announced in Nashville, June 11.

Alison and Robert, the former lead singer of Led Zeppelin, are nominated for their acclaimed album Raising Sand, Song of the Year for “Gone Gone Gone” and Duo/Group of the Year. Levon and singer/songwriter James McMurtry also garnered three nominations. The winners will be announced Sept. 18 at the 7th Annual Americana Music Association’s Honors and Awards Show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. For all the nominees, go to americanamusic.org.
