American Music Awards

Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts are among the top nominees in the Country Music categories for the 2008 American Music Awards, airing Sunday, Nov. 23, on ABC-TV at 8 p.m. ET.

Carrie is nominated in two Country Music categories, Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album, Carnival Ride. Taylor is also up for Favorite Female Artist, while Rascal Flatts garnered nominations for Favorite Band, Duo or Group and Favorite Album, Still Feels Good. Other country nominees include Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosts the fan-voted awards show from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
