American Country Countdown Awards Coming to FOX in December

Country music’s longest-running radio countdown show, American Country Countdown With Kix Brooks, will form the basis of the newly announced American Country Countdown Awards, which is slated to hit Nashville in December.

FOX, Cumulus and Dick Clark Productions have teamed up to present the program, which presumably replaces the American Country Awards, which FOX has aired in December for the past four years.

The show promises to honor the year’s best in country music and will also include live performances from its biggest stars along with some surprises. Additionally, a first-ever NASH Icons award winner will be named.

The American Country Countdown Awards will air Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Details regarding hosts, presenters, performers and nominees will be revealed in the coming weeks.
