Taylor won the award for Favorite Female Artist Country and also performed her new single, “White Horse,” on the live telecast from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. “I guess I saw my name on the ballot, but I never really thought I had a chance at winning,” Taylor noted. ‘The thing I like most about the AMAs is that they are fan-voted.” Brad was named Favorite Male Artist Country and made sure to thank the fans after winning the award. “You guys come to the shows, buy the albums, you support us no matter which direction we take,” he said. Carrie won Favorite Album Country for Carnival Ride, while Rascal Flatts took home the award for Favorite Band, Duo or Group in the Country category.
