ALAN'S GOSPEL CD: GET IT NOW

Alan Jackson's new gospel CD Precious Memories hits stores starting today, Feb. 28.

The CD, featuring gospel standards like "I'll Fly Away" and "The Old Rugged Cross," was originally intended for only one special fan: his mom Ruth. It was a Christmas gift to her last December. "She was so tickled," recalls Alan. "She just loves that kind of music and she really didn't have anything other than some old records to listen to." Alan and his record label eventually decided that the album would be enjoyed by all of his fans. "I grew up singing almost every one of these," says Alan. "That music really stuck with me and, I'm sure, affected how I hear songs now."
