Alan Takes Home Dove Award
Alan Jackson’s CD Precious Memories was named Country Album of the Year at the 38th Annual Dove Awards in Nashville, April 25.
The Dove Awards recognize the best in gospel and Christian music. The Precious Memories album is a collection of traditional gospel favorites that Alan originally recorded as a gift to his mother. Alan said of the album’s simple production style, “[My mother] didn’t want me to go in there and change them all up or go in there and cut a bunch of real obscure songs . . . so it’s best to just do the straight and narrow thing.”
