ALAN RELEASES SINGLE FROM NEW CD

Alan Jackson is releasing the first single, “(Like) Red on a Rose,” from his upcoming new CD.

“I loved the song the first time I heard it,” Alan recalls. “I believe it was the first song we cut.” Alan’s new CD, scheduled to hit stores this fall, is being produced by bluegrass star Alison Krauss. The relationship came about after a brief talk the two had last year at the CMA Awards. They initially talked about doing a bluegrass project together, but the songs they recorded took the album in a different direction. The new CD, as yet untitled, will be Alan’s first country recording since What I Do nearly two years ago.
