Alan Jackson’s Wife Logs a Year Cancer Free

“She’s probably more healthy than she’s ever been now ’cause she’s really watching what she eats and does,” Alan says.

Alan Jackson tells ABC News Radio that his wife, Denise, has been cancer free for about a year now.

“She’s probably more healthy than she’s ever been now ’cause she’s really watching what she eats and does,” Alan says.

Alan says his wife's battle with cancer also has been tough on him, and he wrote a song about it that might end up on his next album. “I don’t imagine it’s anything for commerical release or anything,” he says, “but there’s a lot of emotion in that song.”

Meanwhile, Denise’s new focus on healthy living means she’d like Alan to focus on the same: “Now she’s wearing me out,” he says, laughing.
