Alan Jackson to Release His First Bluegrass Album

Simply called The Bluegrass Album, it will be mostly originals with a few covers.

Alan Jackson has released a couple of gospel albums in the past few years, and now he's straying from country music again for his next album.

That's right, A-Jack is putting out a hip-hop album.

OK, not really.

But Alan is putting out his first-ever bluegrass album, according to Bluegrass Today, and that album will be called The Bluegrass Album.

It'll feature eight originals, and covers of “Blue Moon of Kentucky,” John Anderson's “Wild and Blue“ and The Dillards‘ “There Is a Time.“

The album is expected out Sept. 24.
