Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney Among ACM Honorees

ACM Special Awards announced.

Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam and Vince Gill are among the stars who will be receiving special achievement honors from the Academy of Country Music.

Alan was chosen as the recipient of the Jim Reeves International Award, presented to an artist who has made outstanding contributions to country music around the world.

Kenny was announced as the winner of the Crystal Milestone Award for his many achievements, including his four ACM titles as Entertainer of the Year. Kenny joins past winners including Garth Brooks and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles in this category.

Vince was selected to receive the Career Achievement Award while Emmylou and Dwight will join Ricky Skaggs and producer Billy Sherrill in receiving Cliffie Stone Pioneer Awards, honoring individuals who blazed artistic trails in country music.

These stars along with the winners of the Industry Awards, MBI (Musician, Bandleader, Instrumentalist) and Songwriter of the Year awards will be honored at the annual ACM Honors event in Nashville, Sept. 24.

The Academy of Country Music Awards telecast will air April 1 on CBS at 8 p.m. ET, live from the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
