ALAN JACKSON HIGHWAY SIGNS STOLEN
Four highway signs near Alan Jackson’s hometown of Newnan, Ga., bearing Alan’s name, were stolen last week.
The signs noted the stretch of Interstate 85 named for Alan, who grew up in Newnan along with his wife Denise. Two signs were reported missing on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with two more reported on Nov. 23. A spokesman for the Georgia Department of Transportation said that the missing sings are considered an act of vandalism and will be replaced.
