ALAN JACKSON -- "DRIVING" AWAY COMPETITION

Alan Jackson's newest album, "Drive" is a big success. Not only did it debut at the #1 position on Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts -- it sold enough copies to take over the #1 spot from rock group Creed for their album, "Weathered."

Jackson now has his first #1 pop debut and "Drive" has given him his biggest week of album sales in his career. In fact, in debut-week album sales, Jackson is second only to Garth Brooks.

Jackson is proud to be the torchbearer for traditional country music, saying, "I'm just doing what I've always done. I came to Nashville to play that kind of music -- that's what I love. It's what I do best. It's just what I do."

Keep on doing what you're doing, Alan!
