The show featured performances from George Strait, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Brad Paisleyand Taylor Swift, who sang some of Alan’s biggest hits. "It's an honor to be honored,” Alan told the crowd. “It’s kind of like your birthday. You light the candles and everybody is staring at you for a minute, so it can be a little disconcerting. But it’s a real tribute and a real nice honor." Show highlights included George performing "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” and Martina’s rendition of "When Somebody Loves You." The special will debut Dec. 6 on CMT.
