ALAN’S NEW SINGLE RELEASED TODAY

Alan Jackson will release his latest single, “A Woman’s Love,” to country radio stations Monday, Jan. 8

The single is the second from Alan’s CD Like Red on a Rose, which was produced by Alison Krauss. Alan actually wrote the song several years ago for his CD High Mileage, but he never released it as a single. Asked if there was a specific moment that inspired the song, Alan told Neil Haislop’s Nashville IQ, “I don’t remember particularly anything at the time.” He recalled that several different moments from his life came together when he crafted the lyrics. “There were different phases of things that I’ve been through,” Alan said. “If you listen to the song, you hear all that.” You can read more about Alan in the Jan. 29 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands Jan. 15.
