ALAN’S “MAKEOVER” SHOW OCT. 8

Alan Jackson’s fundraising show for Hendersonville, Tenn., tornado victims will be featured on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Sunday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. ET.

Alan performed the concert at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville this past August to help the Hawkins family of Hendersonville, whose home was destroyed by an April tornado. The mother suffered permanent injuries as she protected her children from the debris. Alan was touched by the story and decided to pitch in, giving a special concert for volunteers and neighbors who were working on the home to help raise money. “Being close to home here, of course, anybody that went through that you’re more connected with,” Alan noted at a press conference prior to the show.
