Alabama to Perform on American Country Awards

The legendary band will receive the Greatest Hits Award.

Alabama is the latest act to be confirmed for the American Country Awards. The band will perform during the awards show broadcast, and will be awarded the ACA's Greatest Hits Award.

The Greatest Hits Award is given to a country music act that has produced an extensive catalogue of No. 1 hits throughout its career. With more than three decades of hit songs, two Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame among its accolades, this legendary country band obviously more than fits the criteria.

Alan Jackson was last year's honoree.

Alabama will join already-announced artists including Pistol Annies, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Blake Shelton and hosts Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins during the two-hour show. The American Country Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
