Loretta Lynn just loves to get close to the actresses who portray her on screen and stage.

You might remember that Loretta has appeared several times on the Opry stage with Sissy Spacek, who won an Oscar playing Loretta in the 1980 film Coal Miner's Daughter.

Well, now there's going to be a Broadway musical version of Loretta's life, also to be called Coal Miner's Daughter.

And Loretta, on Thursday night (May 10), brought out the actress who'll portray her, one Zooey Deschanel, who stars in the Fox sitcom New Girl as Jess.

Zooey brings a nerdy charm to her roles, a trait that has earned her the label "adorkable." But she's not just another adorkable face. Zooey is also half of the Grammy-nominated indie duo She & Him.

Zooey proved her singing chops by joining Loretta for a duet on the Broadway play title song, "Coal Miner's Daughter," a move that Sissy also made before she filmed the movie.

There's no opening date set yet for the musical.
