ACM VOTING TO START

The first ballots for the 37th annual Academy of Country Music Awards have been approved -- let the voting begin!

ACM members will have 5 nominees to choose from in 15 of the 18 categories in this first round of voting. The results will be announced at a press conference in Los Angeles during the week of March 11.

The three remaining categories are: Top New Female, Top New Male and Top New Vocal Duo/Group. These categories will have only three nominees to choose from.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for broadcast live on CBS on May 21 at 8 p.m.

 

Here is an overview of some of the nominees so far:

Travis Tritt -- Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year.

Brooks & Dunn -- Entertainer of the Year, Top Vocal Duo, Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Toby Keith -- Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Tim McGraw -- Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Alan Jackson -- Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, Video of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Diamond Rio -- Top Vocal Group, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
