ACM Awards to Spotlight Duets, Including McGraw-Chesney Performance

Blake Shelton and Lionel Richie will perform Lionel's “You Are.”

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, who will team for the Brothers of the Sun Tour beginning this summer, will perform a duet at the Academy of Country Music Awards this weekend.

The Academy's all-star line-up of performers includes several additional duets. It was previously announced that Martina McBride will perform her new single, "Marry Me," with Train's Pat Monahan, but we now know that Blake Shelton and Lionel Richie will offer a rendition of Lionel's 1983 hit "You Are."

Rascal Flatts will perform its current single, "Banjo," with bluegrass genre chart-topper and banjo player (not to mention award-winning actor) Steve Martin. (Steve earned a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy in 2010 for his album The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo.) Toby Keith will sing his popular ode to disposable drinking receptacles, "Red Solo Cup," with a surprise Las Vegas performer.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Chris Young, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town are also scheduled to perform.

The Academy of Country Music Awards will air Sunday (April 1) on CBS.
