2012 Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Manziel Stars in Granger Smith’s New Music Video

There's a special bond between fans of college football teams, where star athletes often begin to emerge long before they've graduated. Such is the case with Johnny Manziel, the Heisman trophy-winning sophomore quarterback for Texas A&M University, who recently made his debut acting appearance in country singer Granger Smith's "Silverado Bench Seat" video.

In the clip for "Silverado Bench Seat," a song that appears on Granger's new album, Dirt Road Driveway, Johnny pilots his Chevy truck around and co-stars alongside Arizona Cardinals receiver Ryan Swope, also a Texas A&M alum. Johnny's name isn't explicitly mentioned, but he does sign autographs for a couple people who approach his truck.

Granger, a Texas native and graduate of Texas A&M, previously wrote a song for his alma mater called "We Bleed Maroon," which has become an unofficial anthem for Aggie fans. He became acquainted with Johnny after the athlete and his friends climbed onstage at Granger's gig in Round Rock, Texas, to help him sing "We Bleed Maroon."
