Stars Help Dedicate Music Garden

The Nashville Music Garden is home to an assortment of more than six dozen roses and day lilies, named for country music stars, songwriters, industry leaders and other Music City-related themes. The garden is located near the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Barbara, who has a rose named for her in the Nashville Music Garden, told the assembled crowd, "I can't begin to tell you how very dear this project is to me. We have the only garden like this in the world. I thank all of you who made this precious and magnificent garden happen." Among those in attendance were Opry legend Little Jimmy Dickens, Barbara Mandrell's sister Irlene, Donna Fargo, Jeff Cook of Alabama, the families of Johnny and June Carter Cash and Hank Williams, along with Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and other dignitaries.
