20 Great Country Songs by 10 Great Country Duos

Country music is perhaps unique in that there is a distinct category at awards shows for duos. At all-genre awards shows, the two-member outfits frequently have to compete with groups of three, four and more. It’s just not fair.

Thankfully, in our world, the duo is a phenomenon.

When the chemistry is right between the members, whether related or just compatible, it’s like you get two new friends with whom you can get acquainted instead of just one. Or maybe two voices sound better than one.

Whatever the case, duos are double the fun and here are 10 of our finest.

And for more on country’s greatest duos, pick up the Aug. 4 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands July 25.
