Mark Chesnutt: Rollin’ With the Flow

Mark Chesnutt

Rollin’ With the Flow

∗ ∗ ∗

Mark’s latest continues in the easygoing manner of his 2006 album,  Heard It in a Love Song, although this one foregoes the cover versions for mostly new songs—or in the case of the marvelous closer, “She Never Got Me Over You,” a new old song (it’s purportedly the last tune co-written by the late Keith Whitley and a worthy final testament). Rollin’ With the Flow is another welcome entry in Mark’s latter-day renaissance, but fans of 2004’s Savin’ the Honky Tonk know that he’s capable of delivering a real knockout. While we’re waiting for another, it’s still nice to have him back in the ring.
