February 8, 2010 – Brooks & Dunn: Why We’re Quitting

A Country Weekly exclusive! Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn sit down with CW to reflect on why they’re splitting up, their favorite music memories and their plans for solo careers. Both dispel the notion that “bad blood” existed between the two, saying that the duo had simply “run its course.” Ronnie and Kix recall when they were put together by a record label exec in 1990. “It felt natural. It felt right,” Ronnie says. Kix adds, “I doubt either one of us looked at it as putting aside our solo aspirations. It was just an opportunity.” Brooks & Dunn will officially call it quits after their Last Rodeo tour, which kicks off in March.
