Kellie and CMA Help Nashville Students

Kellie Pickler, the CMA and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean visited Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Nashville, May 8, to help deliver musical instruments to the students, courtesy of “Keep the Music Playing” and CMA Music Festival.

CMA Music Festival contributes half the proceeds from the four-day event to music education for Nashville public school students through a partnership with the Nashville Alliance for Public Education called “Keep the Music Playing.” Kellie helped the students unload and store their brand-new instruments. “It’s just been an amazing, magical day for me,” Kellie said. “Music has always been very dear to my heart. And I think it’s important to have music in the schools, because students are in classes all day and it’s nice to be able to step out and have another hobby that you enjoy doing.”
