I first found Jake Owen through myspace just as "Yee Haw" came out in 2006, and I joined the message board on his site. I had just lost my job as a McDonald's cashier as his CD came out, but I sent him a message on myspace saying that I lost my job but I was spending my last $1 on his CD. The next day I logged on and found I had a message back from him. That message said "Thanks so much Jennifer...I hope you find a new job soon...I'm sure you will...it means a lot to me that you would buy my record. you made my night....take care and I hope to see you soon. Jake". Well, we did see each other about a month later when he was in Atlanta, GA to open for Dierks Bentley & Kenny Chesney. I was tailgating with my Kenny fan club friends and Jake was at the fence signing things, so I grabbed my CD liner and ran to meet him before he had to walk away. I got up to him and said "Hi, I'm Jennifer from myspace" and he signed the CD "Jennifer love (he drew a heart where I put 'love') Jake". So I will be a forever fan from this experience! I even started a couple of my own Jake Owen fan sites.
