Country Sings Disney
It’s a fun idea: an album of beloved songs from Disney animated features, all reworked in country versions. Too bad this isn’t that album. Country Sings Disney features country artists, all right, but most of the remakes here are straightforward pop takes that don’t change much about the originals. No wonder the highlights here are the tunes that were originally sung by these artists in the first place, including Tim McGraw’s “Wherever the Trail May Lead” (from Home on the Range), Brad Paisley’s “Find Yourself” (from Cars) and Little Big Town’s “We Go Together” (from The Fox and the Hound 2).
