2005 CMA Awards Winners

Keith repeated as Male Vocalist champ, then took home the night's top honor, Entertainer of the Year, beating out defending titlist, and odds-on favorite, Kenny Chesney. Lee Ann was the overall winner in terms of numbers, copping three CMA trophies: Musical Event (with George Strait), Album and Single. Hosts Brooks & Dunn won for the 13th time in the Vocal Duo category, which they essentially have dominated since their career began in 1991.

Country Weekly handicapped the big night in our Nov. 21 issue. And we'll 'fess up—as CMA pickers, we didn't hit too many right notes.
