Fans used to seeing 25-year-old native Californian Beverley on TV’s 7th Heaven won’t be too shocked by her country debut—like the show, it’s ebullient, good-natured and squeakyclean. Beverley Mitchell is fresh country-pop delivered by a voice strong enough to silence anyone skeptical about yet another actorturned- singer. Not everything she tackles works—“Girls Just Wanna Rock” and “Good Girls” suggest that rockin’ isn’t what Beverley does best. When she sticks to buoyant tunes like the first single, “Heaven on Earth Down Here,” it seems that Beverley’s career change might just work out.
