Aaron Tippin: Firefighter

Aaron Tippin came to the rescue and helped thwart a brush fire near his family’s home in Liberty, Tenn., Oct. 7.

Aaron and his wife Thea had settled down for a quiet lunch when a call came over the scanner citing a fire near their home. Aaron immediately exited the restaurant and rushed to the scene. Taking control of the situation, Aaron piloted a bulldozer to dig fire trenches and assisted local fire squads after several hours of fighting the blaze, rescuing livestock and securing the Tippin residence. “Tell George Strait to move over, there’s a new 'Fireman' in town,” Aaron joked with a sigh of relief. Aaron’s new album of trucking songs, In Overdrive, will be released soon.
